Bold design leads the way
Sixpoint Craft Ales was established in 2004. Its core mark, a resurrection of the ancient six-pointed brewer’s star, was established long, long before that.

Resurrecting an Icon
From medieval times, the brewer’s star was used as a sign of quality and purity. It represented the elements involved in the process of making beer—water, fire, air, and earth—and it represented a code. A six-pointed star branded onto the side of a barrel of beer not only indicated quality, it indicated craftsmanship and care.
At the turn of the twentieth century the brewer’s star fell out of favor in a changing landscape focused more and more on mass-produced beer. Though it always lingered just under the surface, we purposefully resurrected the six-pointed star in 2004 and re-positioned Sixpoint Craft Ales at the forefront of a return to an ages-old brewing tradition focused on craft, respect, and dedication.

Tradition and Vision
Sixpoint Craft Ales’ core brand mark—the Sixpoint star—is a combination of the traditional six-pointed brewer’s star and a nautical star. It combines legacy with vision, a mark that is rooted in the past while focused on exploring the future. It floats proudly, magically lit from below.
